A combo adds the detail that a long hot cycle leaves the drum warm, and the door may stay locked until the drum has cooled. That is normal. Wait before you decide something is broken.

Installation points for a combo

Combos are often installed in kitchens or hall closets with a shared water line and a drain at the washer height. We look at the drain hose route, at whether the drain stands high enough, and at ventilation in the room. Make sure nothing is stored against the cabinet.
