Samsung Washer 1E Error Code (LE, 1C, LC)

VERIFIED

Error code 1E / LE / 1C / LC
Appliance Washer

One condition behind seven displays

Whichever of 1E, LE, 1C, LC, LC1, 1 1C or 1 LC appears, Samsung reads it as water where none belongs, or as a sensor that is itself at fault. The guidance is written for every washer generation.

Work through these in turn

  1. Hunt for a leak. A drip so small you hardly notice it is enough, and once it is mended the error goes with it.
  2. Straighten any kink in the inlet hoses or in the drain hose behind the machine.
  3. Start a cycle with nothing in the drum and no additives, neither detergent nor softener, and see whether foam builds up.
  4. Foam tells you the dose was too large or the product was not HE. Keep repeating the empty cycle until the foam stops appearing, and then watch for the code.
  5. No foam, yet the code stays: request service.

Leave the hose-holder screw alone

A screw on the rear panel pins the drain hose to the washer, and it should not be removed. If somebody took it out, put the holder back and fasten it with whichever screw fits. When the holder itself is gone, service is required.

Water-supply codes nearby

  • 4C covers a washer that is not taking water in properly.
  • 4C2 covers hoses connected to the wrong inlets.

Samsung washer repair in San Francisco

If the leak and suds checks do not clear the code, Samsung washer repair serves San Francisco and the Bay Area at (415) 969-6153. Be ready to say which display variant you see, give the model number and describe what the leak search turned up.

Model compatibility: Samsung reuses codes across series and model years, so 1E / LE / 1C / LC may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
