A 25 cu ft Bespoke French-door refrigerator where most calls involve ice production, water flow or the supply line.
Samsung lists the RF25C5A01SRAA as a current Bespoke model. It is a French-door refrigerator, 25 cu ft in size. When something goes wrong with a unit like this, owners usually notice it first at the ice and water dispenser.
A French-door model with an ice maker depends on a steady water supply, a working inlet valve and cold enough freezer air. Slow water in the glass often points at a clogged filter or a kinked line behind the unit, while small or hollow ice usually means restricted flow. An ice maker that has frozen into a solid block can also follow a door left ajar. We cover that situation in ice maker freezes up and the bucket is stuck.
Ice trouble can show up as a code. Two of the entries we list are 14E, an ice maker sensor error and 39E, an ice maker function error. Photograph the display or write the code down before you reset anything.
Do not chip at ice with a tool or open any panel.
In rentals and older San Francisco buildings the supply line is sometimes a long run of thin tubing coiled behind the refrigerator. If the unit has been pushed back hard, the tube can fold. Ask whoever moved it last.
We start with the model number, test before touching parts, send a written estimate and wait for your approval. More background is on our Samsung refrigerator repair page and the Samsung refrigerators guide.
On a diagnosis visit the supply side comes first: the shutoff valve, the tube to the cabinet, the inlet valve and the filter housing. After that comes the freezer side, where the ice maker module, its fill tube and the cold air that reaches it are checked. Working in that order avoids replacing a part that was never at fault. If the unit is built into cabinetry, we may need the front clear so it can be eased out for access.
Check the label on your unit for its exact features. If yours has one, the ice and water checks above apply; the technician will confirm what is fitted.
Look for the label inside the fresh-food compartment, usually on a wall or near the top. Read the whole string, letter by letter, when you call.
A new filter can be seated incompletely, or the supply valve may be partly closed. Reseat the filter, run some water through and recheck the valve.
If emptying the bin and checking the doors does not help within a day, yes. Lumps point to melt and refreeze, which needs a proper diagnosis.
