Error code84C
ApplianceRefrigerator
Quick facts about 84C
The code appears in Samsung’s list of frequently received refrigerator codes and belongs to current-generation refrigerators. It stands for a locked compressor.
What Samsung advises
The manufacturer gives a single instruction: if 84C stays on, request service. No steps for the owner are published, since the compressor is not something to work on at home.
If 84C persists, Samsung refrigerator repair covers San Francisco and the Bay Area, and the line is (415) 969-6153. Give the model number, say that the display reads 84C and mention how long it has been showing.
Model compatibility: Samsung reuses codes across series and model years, so 84C may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
